Job description
About Us
We are a fast-moving, high-impact startup on a mission to transform the automotive repair ecosystem through smart, scalable, and cloud-native software. As we scale our infrastructure to support a growing customer base and platform ambitions, we’re looking for a Cloud Engineer who thrives on ownership, embraces autonomy, and is unafraid to make bold, informed decisions.
Role Overview
As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll help build and maintain the technical backbone of our cloud infrastructure. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining our GCP-based cloud platform, championing best practices in Kubernetes orchestration, and enforcing infrastructure-as-code standards through Terraform.
You’ll be closely involved in shaping the direction of our platform and making decisions that have a direct impact on how we scale.
This role requires someone who is self-driven, comfortable with ambiguity, and eager to make confident, strategic infrastructure decisions. You'll play a key part in building a foundation that supports a rapidly growing SaaS platform.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the design and management of our GCP infrastructure, helping with scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for performance, observability, and automation
Implement Infrastructure as Code and GitOps to maintain scalable, secure, and reproducible infrastructure across all environments
Collaborate with backend, frontend, and QA engineers to support fast and safe software delivery
Optimise cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost
Drive automation across CI/CD, deployments, monitoring, and incident response
Own and maintain our CircleCI pipelines to ensure efficient, reliable build and deploy processes
Work closely with senior engineers, learning from their expertise while contributing to improvements.
Make architectural decisions independently and communicate clearly with the team
Job requirements
3+ years managing cloud infrastructure with hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform
Experience with managed Kubernetes (we use GKE) and container orchestration at scale
Proficiency with Terraform, including writing modular, reusable code
Experience with CircleCI or similar for CI/CD and a willingness to move to GitHub Actions
Comfortable working in high-autonomy, high-trust startup environments
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
Clear communicator who can explain complex infrastructure decisions and tradeoffs.
Strong grasp of security principles, networking, and IAM in cloud environments
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with Helm, ArgoCD, or GitOps workflows
Exposure to Laravel PHP or Node.js runtime environments
Background in platform observability, SLOs, and incident response
Experience building infrastructure from early-stage MVP to production-scale platforms
What You’ll Love
High-trust environment with autonomy and influence
Exposure to a modern, cloud-native tech stack
Opportunity to grow into a Lead or Principal Infrastructure role
Mission-driven team focused on real industry impact
